This course is designed to introduce students
to the basic terminology, theories, research and topics sociologists study.
More specifically, students will be introduced to the relationship between the
individual and society; how social structures, such as organizations, family,
the mass media, etc., shape views, perceptions, and behaviors; and to society’s
issues and problems.
